Creative Dance Congress 2013
(scroll down for online registration)
June 23 – June 28
with an Introductory Workshop June 22 & 23
Hampshire College
Amherst, Massachusetts

The Congress is an
intensive program for experienced dancers dedicated to exploring the principles
of individual and group dance improvisation developed by Barbara Mettler.
Participants are exposed to a variety of teachers in sessions focused on free
movement expression, developing the kinesthetic sense in individuals and
building group awareness.
"New
Directions in Dance" is the theme for Congress 2013. Dancers will
reconnect to the foundation of Barbara Mettler’s methodology while stretching
their movement imaginations and exploring innovative paths to carry their work
forward.

Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts is the site
for the next Congress. Movement sessions will take place
in two dance studios and outdoors on the lovely Hampshire campus
